Samsung My Files is a free utility application for mobile developed by Samsung Electronics Co. It is a file manager made in-house for the company's various lines of smartphone and tablet devices. It boasts a clean and intuitive user interface and supports both internal and external storage devices.
File browsing
Upon opening the Samsung My Files app, you're presented with a clean and modern UI. Starting from the top, the Recent Files tab shows all recently added or modified files to your storage for quick viewing. Next is the Categories section, which has quick shortcuts to your media files, documents, downloads, and even APKs.
There's also a list of available Storage Devices, both internal and external and a quick glance at the space left. Clicking on one will show a more detailed breakdown of file types contained within. It will offer suggestions on how to free up more space. Unfortunately, recent updates to the app have broken the Search function and rendered it unresponsive.
Simple yet handy
If you own a Samsung device and are looking for a simple way to manage your files, the Samsung My Files app is a solid option worth considering. It's easy to use, supports external storage devices, and just works. Hopefully, the issue mentioned above will be addressed promptly. Aside from that, it gets a recommendation.
